Oh, hi Vogue.

I am Nicola Coughlan.

I m getting ready for Vogue World

at the Savoy Hotel in London.

Come get ready with me.

[light instrumental music]

We are at the Savoy Hotel.

We re in a very beautiful suite that s got lots

of things going on at the minute.

There s a station here where we ve got my dress.

We ve got a little hair station over here, a makeup station

and then the champagne station.

The most important station of them all.

This is my gorgeous stylist, Amy.

We ve wanted to work with Harris Reed for a while

and this feels like the right event for it.

And we re so grateful cause he had his show last night.

Yeah, then we have the amazing Bernie.

He s most wonderful tailor in the world.

We ve given you so many sore thumbs, Bernie.

So many, So many.

So many, we re the worst, but she s the best.

Over here we have the one

and only Halle Brisker sitting in his chair.

Then we have the wonderful Neil Young

the three of them working together is pretty magic.

[light ambient music]

This is what I m wearing tonight.

It s just like a casual look.

I just felt like it s very modern and very, I m lying.

Obviously, this is a lymphatic drainage massage suit.

This is like multitasking at its best.

Also lying down when you have like one

of the world s best makeup artists.

Do your eyeliner.

This is just delightful.

This is like when you get, you know

your blood pressure checked and it feels

like it s squeezing and your arm s gonna fall off.

It s like that.

But all of your body slash very, very nice.

So not just the face getting ready, the body too.

It s great.

Well, fashion waits for no one.

So you just have kill two birds with one stone.

[Nicola laughing]

Absolutely.

Alright, I think I feel squeezed enough.

Should we get going?

Let s go. Let s do it.

[light ambient music]

Because the dress is so beautiful

and it s really versatile

that you could really go anyway with the glam on this.

So we could have either gone really soft.

Yeah. Or really graphic.

And this is such a cool look.

It s such a statement, but it s also quite soft and feminine

that I think this is

like the right move to like counteract that little bit.

The color s are quite romantic.

Yeah. And the placement

of blush is quite romantic and things like that.

But then there s a toughness in it.

So there s this sort of graphic toughness to the

to the make up as well.

In the liner. Yeah.

To kind of give it that fashiony vibe.

I think the look tonight, it s quite powerful.

I think putting the dress on

and it sort of feels a little bit

like getting into a character because these kind of things

you d never wear them in your day-to-day life.

So when you put on like a really incredibly

well-made dress that s been designed for you

it s such a special feeling.

But yeah, I m excited.

Cause a lot of Harris s looks

like the other day when we were fitting

he was saying, you know, this season we ve designed

for Cardi B, Beyonce and you and I was like

One of these things is not like the other.

Like, okay.

But it just feels so cool to be wearing something

that he s designed and it s such a beautiful dress

and then the headpiece just elevates it.

I m very excited to wear it.

When I was a kid growing up

I used to make home movies and was a real perfectionist.

So my sister used to call me Spielberg

and then now we use it as a term of people who are

like perfectionists and really care about intricate detail.

These are all Spielbergs that I work with.

Like everyone cares very much and works really, really hard.

So it always feels

like a real like little group project, doesn t it?

[upbeat music]

So we are pretty much done with hair and makeup now

and I m gonna come and show you something pretty special.

So follow me in here.

Let s go.

Let s go.

One of the iconic hallmarks of Harris Reader

these incredible head pieces, hats.

This one is extra special because this gold material here

is recycled theater curtains.

So it s so incredibly on theme for tonight and so cool.

And the amazing Michelle Klass match my nails.

So we got the gold nails running through.

When this goes on, it just elevates the look.

It makes it so much more dramatic, so much more

of a statement.

The dress is stunning in and of itself

but this just takes it to a whole other level.

So I m excited to put it on.

And this is the final look.

I had to come out like a crab

because this headpiece is very large and I

I ve been banging into door frames already

so I ll be crabbing around all night around Vouge World.

They re like, who s that crab girl?

That was me.

This is one of my favorite things I ve ever worn.

It s so cool.

It s like so beautifully made.

It s so over the top fun.

Gorgeous, I think the glam is perfect with it.

It looks better than I imagined it would look.

It feels really cool and I feel

like it needed to be something

of this scale to go to something like this.

It has to be like, because I love sitting

at home watching these events and the spectacle of them.

So now I m like, I feel

like I m at least bringing something fun.

Paris Reger, a genius.

I m excited to go now.

I feel like the nerves have abated somewhat.

I just wanna go and have fun in my big hat.
