Hi Vogue.

I m Sabrina Carpenter,

and we are at my Airbnb getting ready for

Vogue world tonight.

And I m so excited.

So come on in.

I have been coming to New York fashion week,

a few times in my life,

but this is kinda the first time since

really becoming more of a local.

I m so excited to see all the looks on my friends.

I think it ll be really fun.

We re celebrating 130 years of Vogue, at Vogue world.

It s so iconic. And so legendary.

I ve bought like so many issues of Vogue in my life.

They always give such incredible people a platform.

I m super excited for that because

I think there s always such a, a mixed bag

of what you re gonna see when you go to a show for Vogue.

I m wearing a dress by Alexander Gaultier.

It s black, it s very beautiful.

The glam around it is kind of where I get to,

have a little bit of fun.

It s like a combination of things.

I think it s a little bit modern with the makeup.

And I think it s a little bit old school with the hair.

This is my amazing hair stylist Jen,

and this is my amazing makeup artist, Carolina.

They love me so much.

It s insane,

and I m very grateful for them.

It s a very intimate process,

and you learn a lot about a person.

And so they ve seen me at my best and my very, very worst.

I m very grateful to them.

They d never let me leave looking anything less than,

great?

I can t say that about myself, but like

[Carolina] I mean well, look at our canvas.

look at this canvas!

Ugh.

I usually play records,

conveniently placed record player behind me.

It s a lot of Rihanna, Beyonce.

That s kinda like the getting ready playlist.

The thing that we do a lot while

I m getting my makeup done,

is we have conversations about life.

Whether what,

it s what s going on in mine,

what s going on in Jen s,

what s going on in Carolina s.

it s our catch up time.

[Sabrina] It s being steamed.

As you can hear behind me.

What?

Should I turn it off?

[Sabrina] No.

Oh, okay.

[Sabrina] live your life.

I would describe my style as,

a girl figuring out who she is in her young twenties.

I do a lot of vintage and thrift shopping,

cuz I just really like to find pieces that feel,

special and unique to me.

I also like stories behind clothes.

So whether that s something I got to wear

to an event that was like a really special night,

and always have like that memory in those clothes.

Or I find a piece of clothing in like a really

cool city that I ve, you know,

went to for the first time.

And I think having stories behind it all is really fun.

I think it s really fun to experiment with New York fashion.

It s very different from other cities,

cuz I think New York is just overall a lot more colorful,

and experimentive.

My one accessory that I always wear, no matter what,

is my initial ring.

Accessorizing and glam like can change a whole look,

is like really important to me.

A lot of the time I ll take inspiration from different eras.

whether it s like the sixties or the nineties.

Once you spice it up with a specific vision with glam,

I think it always just elevates it so much.

I m having a lot more fun experimenting with that now

in my life than I think I did when I was younger.

Fashion I feel like can actually be like,

such a tool when you are like, anxious or nervous.

When you re like going to things and you like,

feel like you re almost like a character in that moment.

For me, that s like an easy way to process.

It s not just me, I m like,

in like a bit of a character moment,

and I can like have some fake confidence

to get me through the night.

And champagne.

I think I also like look at young photos of my mom,

and I look at like the stuff that she used to wear,

and sometimes I ll like, I ll go visit her

and I ll be in an outfit.

And she s like, oh my God, I had something just like that.

I gave it away.

Why did I give it away?

It s like cool to know that we kind of shared a similar

fashion at the same age in our lives.

I m wearing the right things at the right time.

That s a good sign.

If mom was wearing it now.

We just finished,

we re gonna put on the look,

make sure everything is perfect.

And then we ll be on our way.

With some traffic.

Okay.

let s do it.

I m gonna go in the other room.

[Sabrina laughs] Cut!

Is this the part where I pose?

Move around?

So cute.

This is the coolest thing ever.

I m not sure how I feel about this.

[Assistant] You can make it a bracelet too.

Let s go!

[crowd calling] Sabrina! Sabrina!

[Crowd member] Sabrina, I love your new album!

Thank you so much!

[crowd calls out]

[Photographer] Over the shoulder! Over the shoulder.
